Dreams Fantastic

My dreams are Fantastic
and made of plastic
the stuff that never
will die

I tried to be strong,
but I've waited too long
it ends not with a bang, but
a sigh

A line in the dust
Crossing: A must
But ever she dallies
and stalls

I know that somewhere
she wants me to be there
but not like I want it
at all

In her eyes, she's mine
But her Soul and her Mind
resist. And tug from
what's right

Afraid and alone
but not far from home
her bark is much quicker
than her bite

But now I am gone
She's waited too long
a decision had to
be made

I've made up my mind
the papers are signed
I'm no longer a game to
be played

Perhaps on my own
i'll make it, alone
But I suspect there's someone
ahead

And maybe I'll be
accepted by she
and she won't play around in
my head.
