Whimper and Whine

Angels glimmer
black and white
lonely beacons
in the night

Stoic beauty
framed in need
too much to dream
too much indeed

An ice blue sky
to lose myself in
hate a virtue
and love a sin

The sharpest sword
by far to love
justice spinning
from above

For some deed
ne'er recalled
my soul is trampled
ripped and mauled

In beauty's rage
and grinning malice;
but no she lays in
apathy's palace

Worse by far
than hate or greed
and twice as bad
as love, believe

From love to hate
or hate to love
but nothing gets nothing
and I'll have nothing of

of what I want
nay, I need
If she were cut
would she bleed?

Too much longing
with no one to share
the cold's even colder
when nobody's there

Dull grey and bleak
my window of life
heartbreak and sorrow
pain, angst and strife

Bloody and beaten
on the inside not the out
I'll whine and I'll whimper
I'll scream and I'll shout

For all the good
for all the bad
this life is mine
and all the fun i've had
