The Lawn of Night and Day
I think that we
should never die
and live among the
daises. The burning
sun in the
azure sky rolls
to and fro, from
rise to set, bobbing
like a green
glass bottle against
the jagged teeth
of Horizon
and as it dips
a final time
meek stars come
to play in a
field of ebon
tears and Luna
watches over
them in a
fit of motherly
compassion.
On nights like these
I feel like Confucius,
as nuggets of gold
and opals
on fire drop
from my very lips
So we will
live infinite
upon the lawn
of night and day
amongst the daises
and the stars
