Quiet
Shady thoughts mark
dark corners of
my mind, places
I dare not go, where
whispered voices
blow like breath
through the hallways
of my dreams.
Lisping Demons in the
shadows
distract me, and
hide me from the light.
Subtle hints
of things left
unsaid hang in
my mind, like pictures
on a wall, plain
to all with eyes
to see, but silent
like the shadows. And it seems
to me that their haunting
eyes and quiet mouths
say more to me than
a fistful of angry words
ever did. And when I
remember I think I
will say that all
our conversations were
quiet.
