Lightning I
Lightning, my
guest tonight,
she dances on the air.
Against the blue
of night she
flashes, revealing
cracks amidst
the bowl of darkness
that hides us
from the sun.
Lightning: majesty
of the air
Flashing white lit
across the sky,
diamonds on a string.
But only as I look
away, hoarding her
beauty for the eyes
of the stars and
the Gods alike.
Power, divine,
pulses through
her veins, ripping
the air, shredding the
very sky.
Lightning be
my guest tonight,
