A Land Without Heroes

In a land without
heroes we must
build our own
Creating from dreams
fantasies, of men,
brave and strong
men of character
with values and
beliefs

As our angels
fall from grace
like stars from
Heaven, a generation
must turn it's eyes
elsewhere to find
it's idols

The line between
black and white
is smeared like
wet ink and
chaos rushes in
toppling Gods and
dreamers alike
in it's mad dance
of destruction

So, amidst the twist
and pull of oblivion,
gravity
grounds our angels
pulling them violently
to the earth and
the brilliant light of
Truth grows a little bit
dimmer.
